You can get limited on demand programming through prime channels ( smaller subscription fees usually 3 to 5 dollars monthly) and of course every movie service is available (HBO, starz, ECT.) I've found satisfying alternatives to most of my favorites and don't miss cable at all. Worth the trade off.

But no you cannot get regular channels just the ones you are subscribed to. Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Pureflix, Hallmark Movies now. And these are paid subcriptions. She eill just have to check out the hundreds of channels & apps.

If you have a HISTORY app you’ll prolly have to login with your cable provider log in. You can use other apps like Netflix and just pay $8 /month to watch Netflix. Same with Hulu. Etc. diff ones have diff things. There is a way to watch for free, kind of. But you’ll have to do some google researching. Technically There is a way
