You might need to reset your fire stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sounds like a fire stick problem, not a remote problem. I would contact the store I purchased it from and work on returning it or getting a replacement.

Make sure your TV is set to the correct input setting. Then, press the center of the circular button on the top front of the Alexa amazon firestick remote. Once you've pressed this center button, the other buttons on the remote should work.. Everytime your remote times out, you will need to press the center round button on the top of the remote to wake up the remote and get the firestick menu back on the TV screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One little trick when you first pair you almost have to touch the Fire TV stick with the remote when it tells you to push the house button. One you pass this you don't have to be close anymore. It sounds like you might have some interference or have a bad unit or remote. I would replace it if you can find it in stock. Th ey are sold out every time I go to the store. Good luck. One last tip make sure you are only pushing on the ring around the big button. It's very easy to push the button at tyhe same time as you push the right of the ring.
