You shouldn't need a new line, WiFi box may be cheaper than using your cell WiFi hotspot. I'd call T-Mobile and see what they say about that. Great alternative to cable though! Been off cable/satellite over a year and don't miss it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you don't have to get another line, you can sign in to Netflix acct (same one) on the firestick. If you are asking about internet to the firestick, you can hotspot your phone (which shares your phones 4G but acts like a router) But I would only suggest that if you have unlimited or monitor you bandwidth usage. Also, if that's the case or if you have DSL or Cable only internet such as I, we too go tired of DTV high bills and got 4 firesticks and Playstation VUE which is $45 up depending on package, plus we had Amazon prime for shipping purposes, so there was that, then added Netflix, and our bill is still half of DTV's was So research VUE also, but you should be fine with Netflix question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fire sticks I have been using and helping friends and friends of friends with all lead me to the same answer and I hope this helps you. You need wifi...a good wifi signal. I have direct tv as well and got rid of all the expensive pay channels and use my stick through a shared wifi and have a hard time with a signal. But the others I have helped set up with their own internet... no problems. Just have your own internet and a tv with a HTMI port and go to town. And yes if you already have Netflix, you can access it from your firestick. I hope I helped you. Merry Christmas!
