• The screen can be viewed in bright daylight without glare. Under direct sunlight it looks like printed paper. It’s really comfortable for the eyes. Even at night. I don’t know about it being worth over the paperwhite but for someone who reads a lot of non illustrated novels the lack of colors isn’t issue.

• Hi There, The Oasis does allow for a much longer battery life for someone who is looking to only read books. If you are looking to utilize your device for more such as web browsing, app downloads and email, then a Fire Tablet would be the way to go! Have a great day!
