The screen can be viewed in bright daylight without glare. Under direct sunlight it looks like printed paper. It’s really comfortable for the eyes. Even at night. I don’t know about it being worth over the paperwhite but for someone who reads a lot of non illustrated novels the lack of colors isn’t issue.
