You don't need a special card to buy books for the kindle paperwhite. You use your normal debit/credit card that's hooked up to your amazon account. When you buy a book on amazon, you can find it when you hover your mouse over "my account" and click on "manage my devices and content". You'll find a list of your books there and can send them either individually or all at once to you kindle paperwhite. Enjoy!! I use mine daily :)

You sign in to your Amazon account, as normal, find the book you want and purchase it. The book is then sent to your Kindle via WiFi or 3G depending upon your version and how it is set up.
