Very confusing comment. It works great for me, I had Amazon music before, and they have my card on file, yet did not have the same experience. Possibly, you might review the steps you took to redeem the GIFT.

Amazon is very sneaky about charging customers. I kept finding random Amazon subscriptions that were billing me that I never signed up for. Stay away from Amazon.  Crooks!
