The CPU is suppose to go into a motherboard with a AM4 socket, Usually b450 or b550 or x570 or x470, I don't know if your monitor is a computer also so you would need a pc to use it, I don't know about AIO monitors so a PC ks probally the omly choice I know of.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is just the processor / CPU, it is one part of the entire computer / pc. This processor and others are like the brains of a computer, this plugs into a motherboard (it has to be a specific one to work "socket") The motherboard is the largest part of the internals of a computer and allows for other components to be plugged in, such as a video card, ram, and hard drives. If you look at the back of the computer, where you plug a mouse in, you are plugging that into the motherboard. So, it can be an upgrade, if the current motherboard you have is an "AM4" socket
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an entire processor. Usually if you talk of upgrading your CPU you mean that your buying the updated version, not additional cores (if it’s even possible to buy additional cores to install). However, one thing to note is that this CPU does not have on board graphics. So you will need to get a separate GPU to go with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a CPU, a Central Processing Unit. It is considered the main operating "brain" of the computer. This does not simply hook up to a monitor, it is a component of a larger computer build, involving a motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other such things; THAT computer is what shall hook up to the monitor. It can also be used to replace the CPU of an already built computer, given the parts are compatible with the CPU. If you'd like a guide on building your own computer, I'd suggest starting here: https://www.newegg.com/insider/building-a-gaming-pc-for-the-first-time-dont-panic-this-guide-can-help-you-out/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a processor and fan combo with thermal paste that can be installed directly to the motherboard in your computer but you'd wanna make sure that it is compatible with a 3rd gen am4 socket. Some motherboards like b450 ones will support it with a bios update whereas a z570 would support right out of the box. If not then you'd need a new motherboard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ricky, this is just the CPU that installs onto the motherboard socket. You will need to purchase a separate graphics video card as this does not have graphics built into it. If you are looking for a CPU with integrated graphics, look at the 3200G or the 3400G APU's. They will serve you well with no need to buy a graphics card. You can buy a card down the road if you want to upgrade to better graphics for more intense gaming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A processor is just a peice of a computer
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a CPU and heatsink only. You will require a motherboard, RAM, graphic card, HDD/SSD, and power supply, at minimum, to be functional computer. Highly suggest looking up how-to videos for building a PC, before purchasing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.upgrade only
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.> is this an entire processor that I can hook up to a monitor... It IS a processor (which is the brains of a computer) but it's not a computer. To clarify - A computer is a processor + a motherboard + RAM + power supply + hard drive(s). > Or is this just a piece... It is a piece of a computer. It's the central part, the CPU, and it can be changed out and upgraded.
