Yes, and it should work fine with no update needed as long as it is a fairly recent board. As pointed out in numerous reviews, this is a slightly lower power 5800x, so you may as well get this version and then overclock it if you need more performance. Otherwise, enjoy the lower power draw and less heat, as well as using an inexpensive air cooler.
