“My monitor only goes up to 144 hz even though its 165 hz. I updated the graphic drive and monitor in device manager but its still not working. The hdmi is also in the correct spot. how do I fix it??? I have iBUYPOWER TraceMesh i7-13700F NVIDIA GeForce RTX”

Using HDMI is usually the culprit here. Use the display port instead.
