“I have had this unit for 4 years with only my desktop and 5G Wi-Fi plugged in. Lately it has been beeping I did the unplugging everything. I plug everything back in and its good for awhile eventually the beep comes back.Does it need a new internal battery”

Short answer; Yes. These are a more consumer style apc. Many of these do not have replacable batteries. With these smaller backups, most of the time you are better off replacing the entire unit
