Thank you for interest in our products. Yes this unit can be muted. You would just need to hold the mute button on the unit for 2 seconds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I turned mine off. I think the only time the alarm kicked on was when the battery needed replacing. So when it tripped, the mute gets wiped from memory.

Please try again later.Yes, it does have an alarm and yes it can be completely disabled: it has a button switch on the right side of the power switch with the image of a speaker. On the left side of the power switch there is a button switch to turn on the display above this three switches and there you can see their action and additional info.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is an alarm and it goes off when the power to the unit is off and it's supplying power. This is the sort of alarm you want so you know you are on battery and the unit will eventually run out of power. There is a button to silence an active alarm but I don't know of a way to permanently disable it. To me it'd be like turning off your fire alarm in the kitchen, you want to momentarily silence it because you burnt some toast but don't want to permanently disable it.
