OK, my previous backup did the same thing. It is not the backup. It is your computer. I ended up getting another computer as we have a problem with loosing power during a storm. My old computer was not doing very good anyway. I ended up loosing a video card so I just bought another computer. This computer works fine with the UPS backup. To find out why this happens ask the internet. I did and did get an answer. But I am not a computer expert so the answer did not make much sense to me.

Power spikes can sometimes prevent the UPS from keeping the PC running during an outage.
