You need to open an account first

In order to activate your iTunes Gift Card you will need to login to your iTunes account. This can be done either through the iTunes application on your iOS device or on your computer. From within the iTunes application you will need to select Account, and then Redeem. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete activation.

Go to I-tunes on your device, scroll down to the bottom, hit Redeem. You can either enter the numbers on the back of your giftcard(under the stripe) or use the camera by following the directions on “redeem”.

Go into Apple app on device; scroll down to bottom if app tap redeem and follow the step by step instructions.

Instructions are simple I use my itune card with my iPhone I activate my card by going to the Apple store and it tells you to scan the back of the card or you have the option to manually enter the numbers
