• I am not sure if it will work with your IPad but from former use of other cords I’ve used with Apple products, they are compatible. I have used Apple cords on other appliances other than the IPhone. I have charged my IPad with other Apple cords.

• It does for me. iPhones are less finicky than iPads, apparently. That’s why I bought the cable.
