“I keep buying these cables and they last a few months and quit working. I use only for my iPhone and iPad once a day. I just bought 1 on May 6, 2020 and it's already defective, that's $40 to $60 a year. Is that normal?”

Yeah, for some reason, I have the same issues. It’s always the charging head. I have three chords and I’ve bought two this year.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That has not been my experience. I still and use the lightning cable from my iPhone 7. I have two still in their original packaging (and gave 2 more away) as I upgrade every year. Same experience with my iPad Pro and Apple Watch. iPad is 4 years old and I still use the original 3' cable. I have an Apple Watch 5 bug still use the original cable from my first watch (4 years ago). I make sure they don't get bent in 90 degree angles for any length of time and, like a vacuum cord, I don't pull them from the charger or phone at the far end-only right where its going to disconnect.
