They use to allow that. I tried to use a Best Buy gift card for my purchase and they told me I couldn’t because the policy changed. I tried to use the reward certificates you accumulate when using your credit card and they told me no that policy changed as well.

No. You aren’t allowed to use a gift card to buy a gift card. The cash register does not allow it. You are stuck with the Best Buy gift card.
