• This will depend on what you're streaming through your connected device. Airpods Max can listen to very high quality audio that has been encoded in Apple's proprietary codec, as well as higher quality "lossless" audio files which are generally larger and will use more of your data, but this isn't related in any way to the actual Airpods Max. They will receive the maximum allowable bandwidth of bluetooth, which Apple has said they wish was higher. Forgive me if I misunderstood your question, hope this is useful.

• That has nothing to do with the headphones you use. It depends on your audio settings, such as quality and file type.
