If your return period is not over, then explain the defect with the product, and they will most likely let you exchange it for another. If your return period has ended and you don’t have GeekSquad coverage, then unfortunately your only option is to go to Apple themselves, and attempt to explain the situation with an Apple Genius.
(You could go to BestBuy and try getting coverage because of your problem, but I cannot guarantee it.)
