• I think you can! I did put in my vehicle and I was able to track it when it was over 2000 miles away from home!

• Yes and no. Yes as long as there are other apple products within its vicinity to ping the location with a data capabilities. No if there is not any other apple products within its vicinity.

• From my understanding, it only shows the last location that the device was in range of an Apple device, regardless of owner. If his Apple phone doesn’t have cell service then the map would only show the location of the moment when he lost cell service .
