“will it continuously ping in lost mode? for example a dog kept getting lose and the owners got the airtag. they didnt mark it lost bc they said it makes a pinging noise and didnt want to scare the dog.”

It pings a few times then you have to push a button on your phone again to sound it again.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So far mine just does 4 rounds of pinging noise and then stops until it is initiated again. I think the lost feature is to safeguard data... not to really notify that your dog or item is lost. Like more of a notice for apple than for the owner.
