• The headphones require you to use the lightning connector on your iPhone 6 vice the traditional headphone jack. The audio quality is not diminished.

• It will work. I used to use it with the iphone 6s, you will just need to plug it into the charger/lightening jack instead of the normal headphone jack. No adapter needed.
