You click on setting you add your Apple ID info you scroll down where you see it then it will give you the proper steps forward hope this help

If you can use a Web browser in your Smart TV, it will work; you need an Apple device for it to work.

Have you tried using mirroring? I’m not sure if new tvs allow mirroring from your devices.
