I believe you can do it yourself, but then you would have to send your trade in phone back for your discount. The Best Buy staff were very helpful and got me through the transfer process very quickly and then they keep your trade in phone after showing you exactly how to delete everything from the old cell phone once the info transfer has been completed. Everything transferred quite smoothly, including all my photos!
