Probably not, it is locked to a certain carrier for a reason - to prevent your switching to another carrier for any reason.

nope ! that would not be possible, once its a locked phone , it remains a locked phone and you will have to use the same carrier you purchased it with .

This is possible, however you will be charged extra fees and charges by the carrier. Depending on the carrier and how long it is before you get it deactivated, you could be looking at hundreds of dollars in extra fees. If you want an unlocked iPhone, just get one from Apple.

That said, all carriers will usually have a time period in which it will not be possible to get the iPhone deactivated from your carrier account. This varies, but it's usually a few months.
