No, these phones are locked to the total wireless prepaid network. You would be able to use this phone on GSM or CDMA networks like Verizon if you can get it unlocked. The only way you can get this type of phone unlock is by signing up for service with total wireless for at least one year. After that time the phone could be unlocked by the carrier and you could then use it on the Verizon network. You would be much better served by purchasing an already unlocked phone that is CDMA compatible from Best Buy‘s pre-owned stock. Just make sure that you look at the specifications and check for CDMA network compatibility. Barring this think about trading in the failing phone for a new one from your carrier on contract.
