It makes no sense that the "retail" price of the phone would be $799 when you may order one from apple.com without a carrier for $699. Is Best Buy trying to lure in customers who want the latest and greatest only to charge them a higher price? I can't say, but it seems oddly fishy because I can guarantee not everyone would dig deeper in to this. Just trying to add my two-cents. Since I already had ordered an iPhone 8 on apple.com, I declined to risk cancelling that order for what a rep told me over the phone. Proceed at your own risk & do your homework before shelling out $699+.
