No down payment needed but you can make one if you want. You need a credit/debit card to make monthly payments and put them on autopay.

Ask a sales associate or their supervisor at Best Buy and they should be able to provide you an answer. They have information requirements on hand about all the different cellular services.

Since I’m not on contract with my cellular provider their requirement is for me to make payments on my phone through the monthly billing for two years, I could not pay for it in full.
