The FCC requires that the major players in the phone world sell space on their networks two smaller independent type companies. This keeps competition roused and prevents the majors from sneaking around behind closed doors and jacking the prices through the roof. So Boost for example, does operate on a major carriers network. But as a company it operates separately and independently. You will notice that the smaller Carriers don’t quite have the same quality level of phones or the newest and latest generally speaking. And although their plans are better With what they seemingly offer you for the price…they will still be second-tier to the traffic on the network. Generally speaking of course.
