You pay all the sales tax up front. It’s a little less than $100 at the time of sale. Then, depending on if you do the 24-month or 30-month AT&T plan, you pay different amounts. $39.55 would be for the 256GB phone for 24 months/2 Years. AppleCare+ is not included and has to be purchased separately if you need insurance–which, considering the all glass design probably isn’t a bad idea to have. You can also break out the AppleCare+ costs over payments w/ BestBuy.
