I’ve never had to do a credit check for a phone from Best Buy or Verizon. You can do a trade in of your old phone and pay less monthly for a two year contact with Verizon (Sprint and AT&T may be different). You should run over to Best Buy or Apple right away as they are having great deals for the iPhone XR right now, if that’s what your looking for.
