- Answer There was no down payment since I was having it activated through my service. You probably would only have a down payment if you were buying the unlocked phone outright and financing it through your Best Buy account

- Answer Yes, the unlocked version but is useless unless you add a data plan otherwise get an iPad to use on WiFi.

- Answer yes we had to drop old phone off to the post office for trade in, easy they gave us the return paperwork just had to put in box put on lable and ship. (do the post office so you can get a tracking number so carrier cant say you didn't send it back)
