Yes you can. Works just like an iphone, or any apple product. Just have to purchase movies through iTunes, or use iTunes on your computer to sync other media types.

I haven’t tried to download movies yet. But it does say that it can. Good luck

It has the same capability as an iPhone when it comes to downloading. It all depends on your app. You need to be connected to WiFi of course.
