• I would purchase an mp3 player only if you are not interested in the other features included with a phone. For example, most mp3 players do not have cameras or the ability to shoot videos or access the internet. The ipod touch is an mp3 player that does include all these features, if that's what you're looking for. The only real difference that I've seen in my ipod touch and an iphone is the ipod cannot make phone calls. It can text when connected to a wireless network and make facetime calls. I hope this helps. It really just depends on what you're looking for in an electronic device.
