I had the same thing happen to me and I didn't have much problem getting my music library synced in to the new I pod just remember your music library is probably stored in I tunes and so you haven't really lost it at all.

Yes! If you log on to your iTunes account and plug the new iPod, it will ask if you want sync to the new iPod.
If you have trouble, call Geek Squad. They can talk you through it.
