yes. the audio will come thru your speakers but the mic on your phone will still pick up your voice.

I use this Apple brand adapter all the time with apple earbuds while making phone calls and it works great. I don’t know about other brands of headphones

This adapter... has no mic. It simply allows a way to adapt older headphones/earbuds with the single rounded prong (3.5mm RCA plug) to convert to the lightning plug used on newer phones.
