• Yes. If your earbuds worked with the 3.5 connector of an iPhone 6, this adapter will give you the same functionalities.

• Yes I use it with my Gaming Headset to do a podcast! I can also use it making Phone calls!

• yes. the audio will come thru your speakers but the mic on your phone will still pick up your voice.

• I use this Apple brand adapter all the time with apple earbuds while making phone calls and it works great. I don’t know about other brands of headphones

• Same with this adapter. My phone uses the built in speaker instead of playing through the car audio system.

• This adapter... has no mic. It simply allows a way to adapt older headphones/earbuds with the single rounded prong (3.5mm RCA plug) to convert to the lightning plug used on newer phones.
