Please try again later.I have not performed the exact setup you described, but I was able to get both my iPhone 7 and an iPad mini to recognize an external hard drive I connected. Neither device would supply enough power to a usb flash drive, so I had to use a larger drive with an external power source. My next step is to download & install FileBrowser, so that I can access files on the drive.
