Unfortunately no, I too am in school and asked when I purchased it. I can tell you that it is worth every penny! She will love it

There is a student discount available. You need to open a best Buy account with your daughter's school email address (i.e. YYY@XX.edu). BB will send confirmation email to that address and then setup a school account. I don't know if "all" BestBuy products are discounted, but the things I bought were discounted.
