“Is buying the 61W power adapter instead of the 30W power adapter overkill for the MagSafe Duo charger? Will it charge any faster?”

• I prefer the 30W USB-C for the size. I have used the higher-power 96W adapter and not found any difference in charging times.

• Just buy the $19 Apple 20w charger. That’s the best thing for it.

• Yes the 61W power adapter would be overkill. No it will not charge any faster that way. It uses the USB-C to Lightning cable specs to control the power transfer, which is limited to 18W.
