I only have the power cord that my 12 pro came with. Is that all I need to charge my phone plus the mag safe charger? Or does the mag safe charger need to be plugged ito a power source? null

A little confused by the question but hope this answer helps.

iPhone 12 only comes with a cord (USB-C to Lightning), so in order to use the magsafe charger, you need to have a USB-C power adapter (cube, brick, or whatever you call it). I use the one that came with my 11 Pro Max when i bought it last year. So in the end, yes, you need a power adapter to use the magsafe charger.

To get fast charging, you need to have the USB-C charger that is at least 20W, which i believe apple sells for $19.99.

MagSafe comes with a non-removable cord and NO power source. You are required to purchase a 20W Apple plug, or some other USB C plug

The MagSafe charger has a connected 1 meter (3 foot) cable but to get the 15 watt charging on the 12, 12 pro and pro max you’ll need the 20 watt power block. The iPhone 12 mini maxes out at 12 watts.

Apple left the charger out and it is a separate purchase. Both the Apple 25 W charger and the Samsung equivalent work with it.
