i clicked on the link they had sent me and redeemed it but it says to “to redeem this offer, you need to your payment method” i did what it told me but it still asks me the same. Please help me null

By this time my answer is no use, but should help someone else who's having the same problem as I did too go through this and was confused. 

When you redeem your code for the 4 months free it will ask you to enter a payment method. Add you payment method and once again redeem your code. I had to go back and enter the code as it did not do it automatically after I entered my payment method. From what I read you must make sure to cancel before the 4 months are up or it will charge automatically. Even if you cancel before your 4 months are up you will still have access to the music and it will stop working once your free "subscription" is up.

You need to add a payment method to subscribe any apple service.
