• Yes, the new Siri Remote features the same 10-second skip. In order to activate the 10-second skip simply tap and click the left or right sides of the D pad. As suggested by another user, there is a new circular scrubbing feature, but activating it isn't as intuitive as one might think. Hope that helps.

• the new remote is fantastic. Bought one from apple and it is a huge improvement. Getting another.

• That may not matter. With the new remote wheel, you will be able to scrub as much or as little as you want back or forth. Also, Siri will be more integrated than ever before by asking to go 10 seconds or more in any direction.
