Will the Apple Pencil charge on this case? null

No. The case is designed to charge off of the 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro (and now the 2020 iPad Air) The second generation pencil will also charge off of the above listed iPads. The 1st generation pencil is not designed to charge off of the above configurations.
