• Yes you can. You will need to keep the iPad's display on so you can't run it in "clamshell" mode like a laptop. Limitations in general are just differences between iPadOS compared to MacOS. Connecting it to an external display with Stage Manager enabled does make it feel more like a regular Mac though.

• yes you can, not sure what the limitations of the iMac Pro where but you can connect via thunderbolt wire
