HI, I have the new mack book air 2020 and wanted to by the superdrive usb to play cd's and dvd's. How do you attach it the the laptop. Do you need a cord, and if you do does it come with the superdrive or do you have to buy it separately. null

If you have a new MacBook you will need a USC to USC adapter to attach a Super Drive.

It comes with a short cord maybe 12”. It connects to the computer with a USB. The USB connection also powers it.

New computers unfortunately have usb c and the supet drive is regular usb so uou need the adapter i did purchase from best buy usb to usb c adapter by Apple
