I don't really know what you mean....I put in CDs and burn images from my computer. It is called a "reader". I just used it for the first time, and it works . It seems slow and kind of "clunky", but it does the job. It seems to burn CDs and verify slowly. It seemed faster on my old computer where I had a burn program called "Toast". I hope this has been helpful.
