Do NOT buy this for eGPU purposes. This cable is listed as Thunderbolt 2-compliant, which can very much be only half as performant (max 20Gbps) as a Thunderbolt 3 (max 40 Gbps) cable. You will want the TB 3 cable to maximize your eGPU performance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can’t find whether this is Thunderbolt 2 or 3. We have an iMac with two Thunderbolt 2 (miniDisplay) ports. We’re using a Thunderbolt 2 cable into a Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter into a Razer eGPU (not the chroma version, but it’s essentially the same). If you have a Mac computer with usb-c ports then this will work without an adapter. You just need the thunderbolt 3 (usb-c) cable. Technically mac’s without Th3 / USB-c aren’t compatible with eGPUs but there’s software to easily get around that.
