Can this be used to connect to an old IPod ? null

Only if you have the original charger cable with the USB port. I plan to purchase this today for my waterproof iPod that I swim with from Underwater Audio If you plug the cord for iPod that goes into the charger, then yes. There is a USB port in this cord . If anyone has another option, tell me!
