Is this LED or LCD? I went to a local Best Buy and they showed me this product but it said LCD on the box when the website said LED. Mistake by the website or store?

this is an led monitor, though they use the same technologies. in essence an led monitor is an lcd monitor but is edge lit with leds instead of having a lamp behind the screen. if the one you saw in the store was very thin, then it is the correct screen

Well, i would safely assume that by the mere description of the monitor in question where it says 21.5'' "LED" HD that this would in fact be an LED monitor.

The box says the monitor is lcd and has led backlight though.

No when I got it home I found that it is LCD, not LED
