Refer to the ASUS CPU Support link on the support page for this motherboard: (https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-z790-a-wifi/helpdesk_qvl_cpu?model2Name=PRIME-Z790-A-WIFI) According to that, there are 14th generation Intel CPUs listed. I would double-check the ASUS site for confirmation of compatibility for the specific CPU you're interested in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a great question, Now this motherboard does say any LGA 1700 chip. Even though the specs say Intel® Socket LGA1700 for 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors & 12th Gen Intel® Core™, Pentium® Gold. With this the new 14gen is a LGA 1700 as well and wont chamge for gen 14. I personally have not input a 14 gen in this board but I do believe ut will work. Do to the power of the chip is the same as 13 gen. Yes I wpuld try it. It wont damage the board or the processor if irlt doesnt work instead no boot up will happen.
